Blister plate.

Type: Profile Grinding

Usage: Packaging systems, medical products

Blister plates for packaging medical products require the highest surface quality and precise contours. On our Mägerle machines, we grind even the finest profiles – clean, burr-free and documented. Profile grinding tasks in the smallest range are no problem for us. Whether prototype or series: We deliver with the quality expected in medical technology.

From Round to Square

Type: Profile Grinding

Usage: Surgical instruments, tweezers, gripping tools

Surgical forceps require precise functional surfaces. From the gripping surface to the outer contour: every detail must be just right. Through profile grinding on Mägerle machines, we achieve the required tolerances even with complex geometries that meet the high standards of medical technology, delivering consistent quality, batch after batch.

Grade 5 titanium sheets

Type: Flat Grinding

Usage: Surgical instruments, implants

The grinding of titanium sheets is only possible using vacuum clamping technology. Achieving the best possible flatness and thickness tolerances requires a great deal of experience and a delicate touch. Using precision levelling machines, low-stress material and specially manufactured vacuum clamping devices, sheets of the highest quality can be produced. The combination of modern technology and experience delivers results that meet the exacting standards of the medical technology sector.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which components does Wild Wetzikon grind for medical technology?

For medical technology we produce blister plates with fluted tips for packaging systems, surgical tweezers, titanium sheets for implants, and special tools to drawing. Dimensional accuracy and surface quality count double here, which is why every batch is documented and traceable. On our Mägerle machines we grind even the finest profiles in the smallest range. Measurement reports are supplied on request.

How is traceability ensured in medical technology?

Every batch is documented and traceable, complemented by measurement reports on request. This lets your quality assurance and audits verify that the required dimensions have been met. Documented dimensional accuracy is a fixed part of the process. We agree the inspection concept with your requirement before production begins.

How are titanium sheets for implants produced?

Grinding titanium sheets is only possible using vacuum clamping technology, because the material is non-magnetic. Using precision levelling machines, stress-relieved material and vacuum clamping devices manufactured in-house, we achieve the best possible flatness and tight thickness tolerances. The delicate touch this requires has grown over years. The result is titanium sheets in a quality that holds up in medical technology.

Can surgical tweezers with tight profiles be ground?

Yes, we grind surgical tweezers from round profile to square with precise functional surfaces. From the gripping surface to the outer contour, every detail must be right, which we achieve through profile grinding on Mägerle machines. We produce even demanding geometries in reproducible quality, batch after batch. Your contour is implemented to drawing.

Are prototypes and series possible in medical technology?

Yes, we deliver both prototypes and series in the quality expected in medical technology. Manufacturing is reproducible and documented, so a process can be proven out and then scaled up. Fine profiles are produced clean and burr-free. Describe the part and quantity to us and we will set up production accordingly.

Why are blister plates with fluted tips demanding?

Blister plates for packaging medical products require the highest surface quality and precise contours. On our Mägerle machines we grind even the finest profiles clean, burr-free and documented. This keeps the function within the packaging system reliable. Whether prototype or series, we manufacture to the required quality.

Precision grinding for medical technology

For medical technology Wild Wetzikon produces components in which dimensional accuracy and surface finish are decisive: titanium sheets in any thickness, surgical instruments such as tweezers, and blister and packaging plates. Work is carried out to drawing in surface grinding, profile grinding and double-disc grinding, series-reliable and documented. For titanium we use vacuum clamping instead of magnetic clamping, so the non-magnetic parts stay held without distortion.

Titanium sheets are ground to any thickness with tight tolerances, in double-disc grinding down to ±0.005 mm. Titanium is biocompatible, corrosion resistant and non-magnetic, which makes it a standard material for implants and instruments. Because the material is non-magnetic it cannot be held on magnetic chucks. We use vacuum and zero-point clamping so the sheets stay flat and dimensionally accurate. This gives you a ready-to-fit starting part for the further process.

Surgical tweezers and similar instruments require precisely worked functional surfaces and reproducible dimensional accuracy. We grind these components to drawing and document the values achieved. In case of doubt we clarify feasibility beforehand using a sample, before a series starts. This avoids reject parts and secures consistent quality across the entire batch.

Blister and packaging plates for medical packaging are machined to tight flatness and parallelism. Even flatness ensures a reliable sealing pattern and reproducible packaging results. We grind these plates in surface and double-disc grinding to size. The specific tolerances we agree with you before production begins.

For medical technology, traceability counts. For every batch we prepare measurement reports and supply material certificates and inspection certificates to EN 10204 type 3.1 on request. This documentation forms the basis for your own quality assurance and for audits. We agree the inspection concept, whether by sample or at 100 percent, before the series begins.

We produce single prototypes as well as recurring series with the same documented care. As a precision grinding shop from Wetzikon we have manufactured to drawing since 1969, with a fixed point of contact. Send us your drawing and we check feasibility, name realistic tolerances and prepare a no-obligation quote.
